UKDW Architecture Program Earns Highest BAN-PT Accreditation
The Architecture Program at Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) in Yogyakarta has received the highest level of accreditation (“Excellent”) from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). The accreditation was officially granted through Decree No. 8802/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.Ppj/S/XII/2025 issued by the Director of the BAN-PT Executive Board and is valid from December 31, 2025, through December 31, 2030.
The UKDW Architecture Program continues to enhance the quality of its curriculum through a Research-by-Design learning approach, implemented via annual thematic design projects. Students are guided to observe real-world challenges, formulate design problems, develop architectural proposals, and engage in critical dialogue throughout the learning process.
Through this approach, the program is committed to educating architects who demonstrate strong expertise in architectural tectonics, a deep sensitivity to the dynamics of urban and community-based environments, a strong commitment to environmentally responsible design (Pro-Green Architecture), and an entrepreneurial mindset.
