Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) and the Bina Pelayanan Masehi Foundation (YBPM) have taken the first step toward a strategic partnership in education, research, and community service. An initial meeting was held on March 17, 2025, at UKDW’s Pdt. Tasdik Room, bringing together key representatives from both institutions.
The meeting was attended by YBPM Chairman Kristian Hartono, S.T., M.M., Foundation Chaplain Rev. Moses David Livingstone, S.Th., YBPM Executive Secretary Rudy Sugianto, S.T., and Agung Hadi Prasetyo, S.Pd., Principal of Masehi Kudus High School. Representing UKDW were Dr. Phil. Lucia Dwi Krisnawati, Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (Bureau IV); Dr. Paulus Widiatmoko, M.A., Deputy Head of Bureau IV; and Hangudi Widya Hutama, S.Kom., Deputy Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Career Development. The discussion was lively and focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration between the academic and service-oriented sectors.
A key topic was UKDW’s scholarship programs, which were presented by Hangudi Widya. He outlined various funding opportunities available for prospective students from YBPM-affiliated schools, aiming to expand access to quality education at UKDW.
Beyond scholarships, the meeting also explored potential joint initiatives, including community service programs, collaborative research projects, and specialized training for students and teachers. These initiatives are designed to strengthen both institutions’ contributions to education and social service.
With this initial dialogue, UKDW and YBPM are optimistic about building a sustainable, mutually beneficial partnership. This collaboration not only strengthens institutional ties but also fosters innovation and the development of impactful educational programs for a broader community. The meeting marks the beginning of what both parties hope will be a long-term and meaningful alliance. [Lia/trans.drr]
