The team claimed the top prize with Applify, an AI-powered platform designed to help job seekers discover opportunities and navigate the application process more effectively.

The winners were announced during the competition’s final round, held in a hybrid format at UKRIDA in Jakarta on June 13, 2026. The Triple A team comprises Hans Gunawan, an Information Systems student, and Natalie Netania Sulistio and Adela Egie Praswitya, both Management majors.

Solve-It Challenge 2026 is a national business idea competition themed “Lead to Impact.” The competition challenges students to address social issues through entrepreneurial thinking and technology-driven solutions.

According to Hans, Applify was inspired by the challenges many job seekers face, including searching across multiple job boards, tailoring application materials for different positions, and navigating applicant tracking systems (ATS) that often filter out candidates during the early stages of recruitment.

“We designed Applify to help job seekers discover relevant opportunities, optimize their résumés for ATS screening, generate personalized cover letters, and manage the application process through a single integrated platform,” he said.

Powered by AI technology, Applify aggregates job listings from multiple employment platforms and ranks them based on their compatibility with a user’s profile. The system also provides recommendations for skill development aligned with industry needs and enables users to manage and track their applications from a single dashboard.

A key feature of Applify is its Human-in-the-Loop approach, which ensures that users retain full control over every stage of the application process. All AI-generated documents and actions require user approval before being submitted to prospective employers.

As part of the competition, the Triple A team not only presented the product but also developed a comprehensive set of business planning documents, including a Lean Canvas framework, feasibility studies, financial projections, and business sustainability analyses. This preparation strengthened the team’s performance in evaluation criteria covering problem-solution alignment, business model viability, social impact, and implementation feasibility.

Hans hopes Applify can support a wider range of job seekers, particularly recent graduates who often face challenges when entering the workforce.

“I developed Applify to make job opportunities more accessible, especially for fresh graduates who may not yet have extensive professional networks or access to employment opportunities. I hope this innovation can continue to evolve and help more people find jobs that match their potential,” he said.

Looking ahead, Hans plans to further develop Applify as part of his undergraduate thesis research in UKDW’s Information Systems program. The Triple A team is also exploring opportunities for collaboration and funding to expand the platform’s reach and maximize its social impact.

This achievement adds to UKDW’s growing list of national accomplishments and underscores the university’s commitment to developing technology-driven solutions that address real-world challenges and create positive social impact.

By mpk | Ed.
