Students from the Department of Informatics at Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW), Yogyakarta have earned international recognition after securing two major awards at the Mantle Global Hackathon 2025, with total prize money of USD 13,000.<\/p>\n

The team achieved 1st Place in the GameFi (Game Finance) track and 2nd Place in the ZK & Privacy track, marking a significant milestone for the university\u2019s growing presence in the global Web3 ecosystem.<\/p>\n

In the GameFi track, Team OwnaFarm\u2014comprising Yeheskiel Yunus Tame, Oktavianus Bima Jadiva, and Nikolas Dwinata (UKDW), together with Harun Al Rasyid (Universitas Amikom Purwokerto)\u2014secured 1st Place and received a USD 8,000 prize.<\/p>\n

All four team members are alumni of the DevWeb3 Jogja Bootcamp and active contributors to the DevWeb3 Jogja community.<\/p>\n

The winners were announced during a livestream on X (formerly Twitter) as part of the Hong Kong Consensus event on February 10, 2026.<\/p>\n

The Mantle Global Hackathon is an international online blockchain development competition held over five months, from October 2025 to early 2026. Organized by the Mantle blockchain network, the event brought together developers, creators, and innovators worldwide to build decentralized applications (dApps). The competition culminated in a Demo Day in early February 2026.<\/p>\n

Projects were evaluated based on five core criteria: scalability, product design, technical execution, integration with the Mantle ecosystem, and market potential.<\/p>\n

Winning projects demonstrated not only compelling demos, but also real-world utility, technical readiness, and strong adoption potential.<\/p>\n

OwnaFarm: GameFi for Agricultural Financing<\/strong><\/p>\n

OwnaFarm introduces a blockchain-based GameFi solution aimed at addressing financing challenges in the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n

Many farmers already have contracts with factories or distributors but face operational cash flow constraints before receiving payment. OwnaFarm addresses this issue by tokenizing farmers\u2019 outstanding invoice receivables and transforming them into in-game assets.<\/p>\n

This approach enables investors to participate through a gamified experience, while supporting real-world agricultural financing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe tokenize farmers\u2019 invoices and convert them into in-game assets,\u201d explained Yeheskiel Tame. \u201cInvestors can participate as if they are playing a game, making the funding process more interactive and accessible. At the same time, gamers are not just playing\u2014they also act as investors engaged in real economic activity. As a result, farmers gain faster and more inclusive access to operational funding.\u201d<\/p>\n

By combining gamification with real-world financing, OwnaFarm expands market participation while demonstrating how blockchain technology can generate meaningful and sustainable social impact.<\/p>\n

2nd Place in ZK & Privacy: zkPull<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the GameFi victory, Oktavianus Bima Jadiva secured 2nd Place in the ZK & Privacy track through his project, zkPull, earning USD 5,000.<\/p>\n

zkPull is a trustless protocol designed for open-source bounty systems. It enables developers to automatically receive rewards once their pull requests are merged\u2014without requiring manual approval or centralized intermediaries.<\/p>\n

In the open-source and Web3 ecosystem, contributors often face delayed payments, manual verification processes, and uncertainty regarding compensation. zkPull eliminates this trust assumption by converting GitHub contributions into cryptographically verifiable claims that can be executed directly on-chain.<\/p>\n

Technically, zkPull utilizes zkTLS from Reclaim Protocol to generate cryptographic proof that a pull request has been merged and that the contributor\u2019s identity is valid\u2014without exposing sensitive data. The proof is verified on-chain via AVS, and once validated, a smart contract automatically distributes the reward.<\/p>\n

The result is a bounty system that is transparent, automated, and fully trustless.<\/p>\n

These dual achievements highlight the capacity of UKDW students to deliver blockchain solutions that go beyond trends\u2014addressing real-world problems with technical rigor and social relevance.<\/p>\n

The recognition also reinforces the growing contribution of Indonesian developers to the global Web3 ecosystem, demonstrating how technology-driven innovation can support social transformation and sustainable digital development.<\/p>\n
