Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) welcomed a benchmarking visit from Universitas Ciputra Surabaya on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Held at Room D.1.1 on the UKDW campus, the visit provided an opportunity for inter-university exchange and the sharing of experiences and best practices in student services management.<\/p>\n

The delegation from Universitas Ciputra comprised administrators responsible for student affairs, including representatives overseeing student welfare, counseling and wellbeing, student development, student organizations, scholarships, and student activities.<\/p>\n

The delegation was received by UKDW\u2019s leadership and student services team, led by Dr. Parmonangan Manurung, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, Information, and Innovation. He was joined by officials from the Office of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Career Development (Biro 3), the LPKKSK (Campus Ministry and Counseling Office), coordinators of student leadership and personal development programs, and the Head of the Disability Services Unit, along with Biro 3 staff members.<\/p>\n

In a warm and open discussion, Dr. Parmonangan Manurung expressed his appreciation for the visit and emphasized that the benchmarking activity was intended as a mutual learning process.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to Universitas Ciputra for the visit and for the trust placed in UKDW. We also see this as an opportunity to learn from Ciputra. This exchange is not about one institution being better than another, but about learning together so that each university can continue to grow, improve, and enhance the quality of services provided to students, ultimately contributing to the nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

A representative of Universitas Ciputra noted that the visit was particularly timely following the appointment of a new rectorate and recent organizational restructuring at the university.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe sincerely appreciate the warm welcome from UKDW. With our new organizational structure, we are eager to learn, particularly in relation to student service systems. Through this benchmarking visit, we hope to engage in mutual learning to further improve the quality of services for our students,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

During the session, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana presented an overview of its student services coordinated through Biro 3. These services include student welfare support such as scholarships, insurance, and academic administrative assistance, as well as programs for developing students\u2019 interests and talents, facilitating student activities, and supporting student achievements.<\/p>\n

UKDW also manages career development and alumni engagement through initiatives such as career talks, campus recruitment programs, job fairs, tracer studies, and the provision of job and internship opportunities for students and graduates.<\/p>\n

In the area of student support, UKDW places strong emphasis on mental health through the LPKKSK (Campus Ministry and Counseling Office). The office provides daily counseling services, group counseling, support groups, counseling days, and psychoeducational programs for faculty members and administrative staff.<\/p>\n

UKDW further demonstrated its commitment to inclusive education through its Disability Services Unit, which serves as a coordinating center for services supporting students with disabilities. Ongoing efforts focus on improving accessibility, promoting student independence, and building partnerships with external stakeholders to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.<\/p>\n

Through this benchmarking visit, UKDW and Universitas Ciputra strengthened their commitment to inter-campus collaboration. The meeting is expected to serve as a foundation for sustained cooperation in delivering student services that are inclusive, human-centered, and oriented toward holistic student development.<\/p>\n
