\"\"<\/a>Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) once again demonstrates its commitment to fostering student entrepreneurship through its participation in the 16th Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship (KMI) Expo 2025, held from 19\u201321 November at Tidar University (Untidar), Magelang. UKDW\u2019s involvement reinforces its dedication to nurturing innovative, independent, and nationally competitive young entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

This year, UKDW is sending two standout teams from the 2025 P2MW Program: BARNANA and ABHINAYA.\u00a0BARNANA is a startup developing snack bars made from banana corm flour\u2014an innovative, healthy, and environmentally friendly alternative. Meanwhile, ABHINAYA produces wristwatches crafted from a composite of corn cob material and wood, offering a creative and sustainable product design. BARNANA qualified under the early-stage business scheme, while ABHINAYA received funding under the growth-stage scheme. Both teams will represent UKDW in competing alongside hundreds of young innovators from across Indonesia.<\/p>\n

The BARNANA team consists of students Novelia E.A. Ma\u2019ahury and Latifasya P. Daneswari (Faculty of Business); Otniel J. Wijaya and Alvin Gracio Wijaya (Faculty of Biotechnology); and Fani Natasia Matondang (Faculty of Architecture and Design). The ABHINAYA team comprises UKDW Product Design students Theodora Anggun Chintyaamora, Eleonora Bintang Dahayu Prabasari, and Galuh Setyawan Supatno.<\/p>\n

Throughout the three-day event, the UKDW teams will compete in the flagship KMI Award while also participating in supporting categories such as the Best Booth Award and the *kirab budaya (*cultural parade). UKDW is also using this national entrepreneurship showcase to present the teams\u2019 innovative products, expand networks, promote student creations, and open opportunities for collaboration across institutions and sectors.<\/p>\n

Andi Maesara Prakosa, M.M., Project Manager of UKDW\u2019s Centre of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Centrino), said the university has offered comprehensive guidance to both teams\u2014from preparation through business implementation. \u201cOur coaching includes entrepreneurship mentoring, branding and marketing assistance, and monitoring of fund use. We want to ensure that the UKDW teams can perform at their best and are fully prepared for KMI Expo XVI 2025,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Dr. Haryo Dimasto Kristiyanto, S.S., M.Sc., Coordinator of the UKDW 2025 P2MW Team, added that UKDW\u2019s participation is part of the institution\u2019s broader strategy to strengthen its campus entrepreneurship ecosystem. \u201cKMI Expo provides an important learning space for students to test their abilities, expand their business networks, and enhance product quality. We hope both teams perform confidently and make a meaningful contribution,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

With strong institutional support and a commitment to developing student potential, UKDW remains confident that its participation in KMI Expo XVI 2025 will further solidify its position as a university consistently fostering creative, innovative, and socially impactful young entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
