Education is more than just a place of learning\u2014it is the heart of civilization. It is where intellect, character, and a nation’s future are shaped. It is a space where awareness is born and collaboration begins. Because education cannot be advanced in isolation: government requires public support, schools must work in synergy with families, and universities must be closely connected with industry and communities. Collaboration is key.<\/p>\n

This was the central message of the Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, as delivered by the Rector of Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) during a flag ceremony held to commemorate National Education Day on Friday, May 2, 2025. The ceremony took place in front of the Didaktos Building at UKDW\u2019s campus, serving as a moment of reflection and appreciation for the vital role of education in the nation\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

The minister\u2019s address emphasized that the government views education as a long-term national investment. For this reason, attention to the education sector continues to be strengthened\u2014not just in rhetoric but through real, targeted, and effective policies. The government believes that high-quality education is education that creates real impact. The transformation of education can no longer be delayed, because today\u2019s education reflects the face of Indonesia\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

That future, the speech stated, depends on how well we build collaboration\u2014across sectors, across generations, across disciplines, and across ecosystems.<\/p>\n

Professor Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, called on all stakeholders to use this year\u2019s National Education Day as a starting point to deepen synergy and broaden impact. \u201cLet us reaffirm our shared commitment to build an education system that is not only high in quality but also equitable, relevant, and future-oriented,\u201d he urged.
