\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) marked its 62nd anniversary with a Worship Service under the theme \u201cServing God and Loving All through Lifelong Education.\u201d The celebration took place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Koinonia Auditorium on UKDW\u2019s campus.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The event featured a vibrant Nusantara<\/em> theme, with attendees dressed in traditional Indonesian attire and a lineup of cultural performances showcasing dances from various ethnic groups across the archipelago.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The sermon was delivered by Reverend Marlin Lomi, S.Th., from the Sumba Christian Church Synod (GKS), drawing from Proverbs 2:1-15. Rev. Lomi emphasized the principles of wisdom and integrity, encouraging the Duta Wacana community to embody this year\u2019s anniversary theme. He spoke on the importance of UKDW\u2019s mission as a Christian university to develop a generation of graduates with not only advanced education and skills, but also a deep sense of integrity, noble character, and social awareness to contribute to human and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Through its commitment to these values, UKDW aims to remain a leading institution of Christian higher education in Indonesia, nurturing leaders who are ready to serve society and address global challenges.
