\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0YOGYAKARTA \u2013 Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) reaffirmed its commitment to producing high-quality graduates through the Welcoming UKDW Scholarship Awardees 2024<\/em> event, held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Didaktos Seminar Room. The event, attended by 81 students, showcased UKDW\u2019s dedication to supporting students who aspire to make a positive impact in society.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0UKDW offers a range of scholarships to both prospective and current students, reflecting its ongoing investment in education.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0In his address, Dr. Parmonangan Manurung, S.T., M.T., IAI., Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, Information, and Innovation, reminded scholarship recipients of the responsibility that comes with their award. He encouraged them to adhere to the university’s regulations while also enjoying their academic journey.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0“Not everyone has the chance to pursue higher education, let alone receive a scholarship. This is a blessing, and with it comes the responsibility to meet the required standards,” he stated.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0One of the scholarship recipients, Antonius Kiya Ananda Derron, expressed his gratitude for the financial support. “I\u2019m incredibly grateful that my parents won\u2019t have to worry about tuition for the next four years. My goal is to graduate cum laude<\/em> with a degree in computer science. I also aim to develop my programming and business skills while collaborating with my peers at UKDW,” said Kiya, an Informatics student.
