Among them was Trifena Katrina, a standout graduate who uses a wheelchair and achieved Cum Laude honors.

Trifena, an Information Systems student from the Faculty of Information Technology, graduated with an impressive GPA of 3.88. She is one of the program’s top and fastest graduates, showcasing her ability to excel academically despite physical challenges.

Trifena, known as Fena, chose UKDW inspired by her sister, an alumnus of the same program. Her interest in information technology and her sister’s positive experiences solidified her decision.

“My main reason for choosing UKDW was my sister’s stories about the enjoyable campus environment and courses that prepared her well for the professional world,” Fena explained.

She praised UKDW for its supportive and accessible facilities, making her academic journey enjoyable and inclusive. “The learning process at UKDW is pleasant. I have always felt a warm relationship with both lecturers and friends. I was never alone during my studies at UKDW; there was always someone by my side. Every student truly shows the love instilled in us from the beginning at UKDW,” she added.

Using a wheelchair since childhood due to a severe fever, Fena’s determination to continue her education never wavered. At UKDW, she excelled academically and was active in organizations and competitions.

“I also enjoy participating in competitions. In 2022, I won second place in the TBIG Youth Changemaker competition. Additionally, I was one of the winners of the Scranton Essay Contest, receiving a two-year scholarship,” she said.

Her perseverance and hard work culminated in graduating Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.88, proving that physical limitations do not hinder success. She aims to continue working hard in the IT field and hopes to create opportunities for others through her contributions.

Fena expressed her gratitude to UKDW for providing her the opportunity to experience graduation like her peers. “Thank you, UKDW, for giving every student, including those with disabilities like me, the chance to showcase our abilities and willingness to learn,” she said.

UKDW demonstrated its commitment to inclusivity by providing a portable ramp for Trifena to access the stage and receive her diploma. They also offered sign language interpreters for guests with hearing impairments, ensuring everyone could participate in the celebration.

Dr. Rosa Delima, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Research at UKDW, reported that 23% of this period’s undergraduate graduates received Cum Laude honors. “Congratulations to the Cum Laude graduates and thanks to the programs for their significant roles in these achievements. Additionally, 62% of graduates completed their studies within or ahead of schedule. I appreciate the accomplishments of this graduation period,” she said.

Dr.-Ing. Wiyatiningsih, Rector of UKDW, congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to be agents of change, promoting inclusivity and dignity in society. “Let us maintain the spirit of unity and cooperation in facing various political and social dynamics,” she urged.

Dr.-Ing. Wiyatiningsih highlighted UKDW’s commitment to inclusivity and sustainability, reflected in its diverse student body and efforts to create a rich, dynamic learning environment. She emphasized the importance of the university’s “SERU” (Sustainable Entrepreneurial Research University) tagline in guiding graduates to pursue sustainability, independence, entrepreneurship, and academic excellence.

“As graduates, you are expected to be agents of change, promoting inclusivity and bridging differences while contributing positively to the nation’s complex challenges. Congratulations to all graduates! We are proud of your achievements and look forward to the positive impact you will bring to the world. May the UKDW tagline ‘SERU’ guide you in pursuing sustainability with independence and entrepreneurship,” she concluded. [mpk/trans.drr]

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

[et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”39px|||||” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_4,1_4,1_4,1_4″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”-45px|auto||auto||” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https://www.ukdw.ac.id/en/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/07/WISUDA-UKDW-JULI-2024_1.jpg” title_text=”WISUDA-UKDW-JULI-2024_1″ admin_label=”Image” _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https://www.ukdw.ac.id/en/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/07/WISUDA-UKDW-JULI-2024_2.jpg” title_text=”WISUDA-UKDW-JULI-2024_2″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https://www.ukdw.ac.id/en/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/07/WISUDA-UKDW-JULI-2024_3.jpg” title_text=”WISUDA-UKDW-JULI-2024_3″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ …

[5

post-3869","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-berita
["GET
