Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta has officially awarded scholarships to 20 outstanding high school students through the UKDW Scholarship program. The scholarship certificates were presented by the UKDW Rector on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in the Dr. Rudi Budiman Lecture Hall. This initiative aims to provide opportunities for students with academic and non-academic achievements in fields such as sports, arts, science, and culture, enabling them to pursue higher education without financial burdens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mujiono, S.E., M.Sc., Head of the Office of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Career Development, outlined the selection process for the UKDW Scholarship. High school students from across Indonesia participated in selection tests, including Academic Potential Tests, Sports Competency Tests, and interviews. After rigorous evaluations, 20 students were selected to receive the UKDW Scholarship, which covers educational support for eight semesters. This announcement brings joy to the scholarship recipients, as they now have full financial support to pursue their studies at UKDW.<\/p>\n

In her speech, Dr.-Ing. Wiyatiningsih, Rector of UKDW, congratulated the scholarship winners. She also mentioned that for those who did not succeed, UKDW offers various other scholarship schemes such as Talenta scholarships and KIP Kuliah. Through this scholarship program, UKDW hopes that students with achievements can continue to develop their potential and talents without being hindered by financial issues. With this educational support, scholarship recipients can focus on their studies without worrying about high education costs.<\/p>\n

“Granting scholarships to outstanding high school students is UKDW’s way of appreciating their achievements. We believe that by providing educational assistance to high-achieving students, they will become competent young individuals who positively contribute to society,” she said.<\/p>\n

Through the UKDW Scholarship, the university aims to encourage students to keep achieving and giving their best in their educational journey. With the support from UKDW, scholarship recipients are expected to become influential figures who positively contribute to the nation. UKDW highly appreciates these high-achieving students and provides full support for them to pursue their dreams through the UKDW Scholarship program. We look forward to seeing more talented students in the next UKDW Scholarship selection process!<\/p>\n
