Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta is preparing to establish Duta Wacana Academic Hospital at Jl. Wates Km 12, Argorejo, Sedayu, Bantul. The development plan was marked by the groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, October 30, 2023, for establishing the hospital (RSA Duta Wacana).<\/span><\/p>\n The construction of RSA Duta Wacana is part of the construction of UKDW’s second campus in Sedayu. A hospital and campus will be built on an area of approximately 10.5 hectares. The construction will be done in several stages. The development of this hospital aims to contribute to improving education and health services.<\/span><\/p>\n The Rector of UKDW Dr.-Ing. Wiyatiningsih, S.T., M.T. said that the groundbreaking ceremony was a historic moment and, at the same time, became part of the celebration of Duta Wacana’s 61st anniversary. “UKDW is committed to continuing to develop and provide exemplary contributions to the world of education and society. This complex will also be used as UKDW Campus 2. “We will move several faculties to this location,” she said.<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Head of RSA Duta Wacana Development Team, Ir. Henry Feriadi, M.Sc., Ph.D. explained that this academic hospital is projected to become a Type B Hospital, which consists of eight floors, with seven floors built on the ground and one floor as a basement. He estimates that the construction of RSA Duta Wacana will be completed in 2025, and the entire complex will be finished in approximately the next twenty years.<\/span><\/p>\n The Regent of Bantul, H. Abdul Halim Muslih, congratulated the construction of an academic hospital for the Faculty of Medicine of UKDW. This development will significantly contribute to the development of human resources (HR) in the health sector.
