It currently offers three study programs: Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Theology. In 1962, Duta Wacana Theological Seminary was established, from which UKDW was born in 1985, and since then theology has become the Faculty of Theology.

All study programs of the Faculty of Theology have been accredited by BAN – PT with an ‘A’ rating. They are also internationally accredited by the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia (ATESEA). These national and international accreditations testify to the recognition of the Faculty of Theology’s excellence by the government and academic associations.

Education at the UKDW Faculty of Theology is organized with the philosophy of three pillars of formation: academic, spiritual, and ministerial. Through academic formation, students are invited to engage in dialogue and critical analysis of various theological ideas and issues. Spiritual formation emphasizes a call before God and others. Undergraduate students are required to live in residence for the first two years for spiritual formation, including discipline, meditation, and arts, especially music. Programs such as retreats and counseling are offered to all students to help transform their spirituality. The third formation, ministerial, emphasizes ministerial service both in the church and outside the church (schools, hospitals, social institutions, companies, etc.). In this context, programs of field education, field research, and social service are designed to develop students’ social sensitivity and skills. Through these formations, the Faculty of Theology UKDW strives to provide quality and responsible education.

Vision

To be an ecumenical, evangelical, and contextual theological education institution in preparing theologians with integrity to meet the needs and challenges of the church and pluralistic society.

Mission

To conduct contextual theological education at the levels of undergraduate to postgraduate.

To conduct in depth studies and researches on Scriptures and the contexts of the church and society, both in the past and current time.

To contribute the findings of the studies and researches on contextual theology to the service of empowerment and development of the church and society.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.2″ global_colors_info=”{}”]

Faculty Leadership

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.2″ global_colors_info=”{}”]

Rev.
