The Faculty of Medicine at UKDW, established on October 14, 2009, is dedicated to training medical professionals who are skilled, ethical, and capable of serving in a diverse society. The Faculty offers two programs: the Bachelor of Medicine and the Profession Program of Medicine. Clinical training for students in the professional phase is conducted at Bethesda Hospital, the primary teaching hospital, and other affiliated hospitals in Yogyakarta and Central Java regions. The professional education phase is managed according to a Cooperation Charter that has been mutually agreed upon and approved. Upholding the core values of Duta Wacana—Obedience to God, Walking in Integrity, Striving for Excellence, Service to the World—and embracing principles of diversity and unity, the Faculty of Medicine has successfully trained hundreds of doctors and alumni who are now serving across Indonesia.
