- This study program aims to create graduates that are logical thinkers, systematic, creative, and innovative as well as competent in the field of environmental, industrial, and health biotechnology.
- Department of Biology also deals with the issue of environmental degradation, potency of biological resources and local wisdom in Indonesia.
Research Topics
- Environmental Biotechnology: emphasizes on biomonitoring technique, environment restoration technique, biological waste treatment technique, bioconservation technique, and bioenergy.
- Industrial Biotechnology: emphasizes on food technology, fermentation technology, enzyme technology, plant tissue isolation methods, biochemistry and biopharmaceuticals.
- Medical Biotechnology: emphasizes on clinical specimen testing methods, vector control methods, environmental sanitation methods, health risk analysis and bio-pharmacy.
- Bioentrepreneurship: emphasizes optimizing the usage of natural resources to produce goods and services.
