UKDW Secures Main Cluster Status in 2026 National Higher Education Classification
Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta has been placed in the Main Cluster in Indonesia’s 2026 Higher Education Clustering, based on a decree issued on October 28, 2025, by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
The classification is derived from SINTA-based performance data (2022–2024), evaluating research output, publications, community service, intellectual property, and other key indicators. UKDW’s placement reflects its strengthened performance in research and community engagement.
The government emphasized that the clustering is not a ranking, but a performance-based grouping that informs the national research roadmap and strategic planning for universities. Institutions are categorized into four clusters—Independent, Main, Middle, and Primary—while unlisted campuses fall into the Development Cluster.
The Ministry hopes the clustering will enhance inter-university collaboration across categories to support sustainable national development.
UKDW views this recognition as momentum to boost its research quality, expand collaborations, and deepen its contribution to the nation.
