Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) have officially established a partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the YPTK Duta Wacana (Duta Wacana Higher Education Foundation) and BCA. The ceremony took place on December 18, 2024, in the Rev. Harun Hadiwijono Seminar Room at the UKDW campus. Attendees included BCA Director John Kosasih and senior officials from BCA’s Central Java and Yogyakarta Regional Office, as well as UKDW’s Rector Dr.-Ing. Wiyatiningsih, S.T., M.T., and key university leaders. This collaboration aims to bring innovation to the tuition payment system for students.

The MoU focuses on enhancing the quality of educational services at UKDW by streamlining payment transactions. Through this partnership, BCA will provide digital payment solutions via its Virtual Account Online system and Application Programming Interface (API) integration. These technologies will allow students to make payments quickly and efficiently, significantly simplifying academic administrative processes.

This partnership benefits both the university and its students. The BCA Virtual Account Online system enables students to make tuition payments anytime and anywhere, eliminating the need to visit a bank branch. This feature is particularly beneficial for students with demanding schedules. Additionally, the API integration helps UKDW accelerate financial data processing, enabling real-time updates on payment statuses. “This collaboration is a significant step forward for UKDW in enhancing educational services. We hope it will provide greater convenience for students and their families,” said Dr. Wiyatiningsih.

BCA’s involvement as a strategic partner highlights the bank’s commitment to advancing education in Indonesia. “BCA is delighted to contribute to simplifying tuition payment processes. This partnership offers UKDW new opportunities to improve service quality,” said BCA Director John Kosasih. Leveraging its expertise and cutting-edge technology, BCA is prepared to deliver innovative financial solutions that boost efficiency and transparency in educational financial management. This support strengthens UKDW’s ability to adapt to technological advancements in the education sector.

The signing of the MoU between UKDW and BCA marks a pivotal step towards digital transformation in education. Both parties are committed to working together to deliver modern, efficient services for students. With streamlined payment processes, the initiative is expected to foster a more conducive learning environment, enabling students to focus fully on their studies. [Lia/trans.drr]
