Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) marked its 62nd anniversary with a Worship Service under the theme “Serving God and Loving All through Lifelong Education.” The celebration took place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Koinonia Auditorium on UKDW’s campus.
The event featured a vibrant Nusantara theme, with attendees dressed in traditional Indonesian attire and a lineup of cultural performances showcasing dances from various ethnic groups across the archipelago.
The sermon was delivered by Reverend Marlin Lomi, S.Th., from the Sumba Christian Church Synod (GKS), drawing from Proverbs 2:1-15. Rev. Lomi emphasized the principles of wisdom and integrity, encouraging the Duta Wacana community to embody this year’s anniversary theme. He spoke on the importance of UKDW’s mission as a Christian university to develop a generation of graduates with not only advanced education and skills, but also a deep sense of integrity, noble character, and social awareness to contribute to human and environmental sustainability.
