Located in Rev. Harun Hadiwijono Seminar Room, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) in Yogyakarta and Bopkri Foundation officially continue their collaboration in the field of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday, February 26, 2024. The event was graced by the presence of key figures, including Dr. -Ing. Wiyatiningsih, S.T., M.T. (Rector of UKDW), Dr. Sri Sulastri, M.Pd. (Director of Bopkri Foundation), Shinta Mawarwati, SE (Manager of the Secretariat, Legal & Public Relations of Bopkri Foundation), Rev. Wahju S. Wibowo, M.Hum., Ph.D. (Vice-Rector for Human Resources Development, Promotion, and Networking of UKDW), and Veronika Tiara, S.Kom. (Head of Admissions and Promotion of UKDW).

The signing of the MoU marks a significant stride in fortifying the collaboration between these two educational institutions, focusing on the enhancement of education quality, research, and human resources development. Under this agreement, UKDW will actively contribute to developing school curricula, providing teacher training, and enhancing facilities and learning resources. Simultaneously, the Bopkri Foundation extends opportunities for UKDW students to partake in internships or field research aligned with their academic pursuits.

While UKDW has previously collaborated with several schools, such as SMA Bopkri 1, SMA Bopkri 2, SMK Bopkri, among others, the signing of the MoU opens avenues for cooperation with all 41 school units under the Bopkri Foundation.

“Bopkri Foundation oversees 41 school units, where we need UKDW’s involvement to enhance the quality of human resources for both teachers and students. We are confident in the quality of UKDW graduates,” expressed Sri Sulastri. As educational institutions supported by Javanese Christian Churches (GKJ), Bopkri Foundation and UKDW aim for complementary collaboration through joint activities. Dr. -Ing. Wiyatiningsih also expressed her optimism, “UKDW is delighted with this collaboration. Bopkri Foundation has long been a partner of UKDW, with some lecturers also being part of Bopkri Foundation. This mutual connection facilitates collaborative initiatives in joint programs,” she affirmed. [Lia/Eng.drr]
