On January 25, 2024, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta welcomed PT Pandam Adiwastra Janaloka at the Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) office at Agape Building for an exploratory cooperation meeting. The meeting involved representatives from both parties, including Dra. Agustini Dyah Respati, MBA, from the Centre of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Winta T. Satwikasanti, M. Sc., Ph.D., the head of the product design study program. Dr. Phil. Lucia Dwi Krisnawati, S.S., M.A., Head of the Office of Partnerships and Public Relations, and Dr. Freddy Marihot Rotua Nainggolan, S.T., M.T., IAI., a representative from LPPM UKDW, also participated.

The meeting outcomes established the groundwork for potential collaborations between UKDW and PT Pandam Adiwastra Janaloka. Discussions centered on Seagrass Conservation activities slated for July-August 2024, with a possibility of involving exchange students. The meeting also addressed potential collaboration (MoU) for internships and final research projects, aiming to provide practical experience and strengthen the relationship between the two institutions. Consideration was given to a collaboration with LPPM UKDW for organizing Thematic Community Service (Kuliah Kerja Nyata – KKN), enabling students to contribute meaningfully to the community. Additionally, discussions explored the inclusion of practitioners from PT Pandam Adiwastra Janaloka in Practitioner Teaching activities at UKDW, enhancing students’ industry insights and career preparedness.

This meeting lays a robust foundation for a mutually beneficial collaboration between PT Pandam Adiwastra Janaloka and UKDW. With commitments from both sides, the collaboration is anticipated to yield positive outcomes for both institutions and contribute to the advancement of science and industry in Indonesia.
