Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta has once again received an award from the 2023 Diktiristek Cooperation Award in the category Private Higher Education, sub-category of Best Cooperation Report. The Bronze Award trophy was received directly by Dr. Rosa Delima, S.Kom., M.Kom. as Vice Rector for Academic and Research of UKDW at the awarding event held by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City on Wednesday, 13 December 2023.
Dr. phil. Lucia Dwi Krisnawati, Head of the Office of Partnerships and Public Relations of UKDW, who was also present at the awarding event, expressed her gratitude for the support and cooperation provided by the entire UKDW academic community. “This achievement is for us all; without the support of the Faculties and Offices at UKDW, we could not have reached this success,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UKDW, Dr.-Ing. Wiyatiningsih, S.T., M.T. said that receiving the Bronze Winner of the 2023 Diktiristek Cooperation Award manifested UKDW’s commitment to open collaboration to face challenges in the era of change. “This achievement is an important milestone in efforts to realize UKDW’s dream in the next twenty years, to become a university for internationalization reference grounded by the richness of Indonesian culture and has a global outlook,” she explained.
The 2023 Diktiristek Award given to state universities and private universities, Higher Education Service Institutions (LLDikti), university partners from the business and industrial world, ministries/institutions, as well as journalists and the media is a form of appreciation to higher education stakeholders, research and technology that have supported the programs and policies of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology for higher education transformation.
There are ten categories given, which include the National Priority Award, Diktistek Program Supporting Partner Award, Learning and Student Affairs Award, Resources Award, Institutional Awards, Research and Community Service Awards, Higher Education Database Award, Public Relations Award, Cooperation Award, and the Journalist and Media Award.
Acting Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN.Eng. revealed that the transformation of higher education over the past four years has been accelerated, and the results are starting to show. “Through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka transformation program, we have seen that the connection between the campus and the industrial world is getting closer. “Apart from that, cooperation in education, research, and community service has produced many results for society and the industrial world,” said Prof. Nizam.
