The Faculty of Business of Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta signed an agreement with Western Norway University on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Signed by Reidar Gronli (Manager of Western Norway University of Applied Sciences) and Dr. Perminas Pangeran (Dean of the Faculty of Business of UKDW), the signing ceremony was conducted online.

Drs. Purnawan Hardiyanto M.Ec.Dev, Director of the Center of the Study of Economic and Business of the Faculty of Business UKDW, who has been involved in the initiation of this partnership, said that this cooperation is an embodiment of the academic community’s support and active participation, working together with business players in the field of renewable energy, involving Indonesian company PT. El Rose Brothers and Norwegian companies incorporated in Hellenes House of Technology.

Supported by NOREC (Norwegian Exchange), the scope of cooperation will include research and development, prototype, and the commercialization process, in which the activities will take place at SUKATA Innoville, Baron, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta.

This cooperation will also be a transfer of technology process and be part of Penta-Helix stakeholder collaboration, a synergy between academics, business, community, government, and media.

This cross-country, cross-continent collaboration also includes student exchange and faculty exchange to support research and development in the fields of new renewable energy, business, and sociology based on local wisdom, especially in Yogyakarta, altogether with the impact assessment of its implementation.

The two universities have also agreed to actively involve related stakeholders from the two countries in this cooperation, supporting the idea of “Blue Green Movement” in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and in Bergen, Norway. (Source:F.Bis/Wawan)
