UKDW Student Wins International Award for OneTrianggle Innovation
Indonesian talent is once again demonstrating global competitiveness in the tech world. OneTrianggle, a zero-loss gamified savings protocol developed by Yeheskiel Yunus Tame, an Informatics student at Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW), has won third place in an international Web3 competition, earning a prize of US$1,000.
The competition, hosted by OneChain Lab—a blockchain company built on the MOVE (SUI fork) ecosystem—brought together Web3 developers and innovators from around the world. Now in its second iteration, the hackathon focused on gamefi, or gaming concepts applied to financial services. OneTrianggle stood out for its unique approach that combines decentralized finance (DeFi) savings with an interactive, easy-to-use gaming mechanism.
According to Yeheskiel, OneTrianggle offers a low-risk savings model, described as a “zero-loss concept.” Users deposit funds, which are allocated to DeFi lending protocols to earn interest. Its standout feature is a voting-based rock–paper–scissors game in which winners receive the interest generated, while users’ principal deposits remain untouched.
The platform helps users—especially young people—learn about decentralized financial systems in a safe, engaging, and enjoyable way. “This project introduces a new way to save and explore the world of DeFi without the risk of losing your principal,” said Yeheskiel, the sole developer behind OneTrianggle.
He learned about the competition through a senior member of the Yogyakarta Web3 community, which previously partnered with UKDW to organize a bootcamp aimed at strengthening students’ DeFi expertise.
Yeheskiel developed the project intensively over two days and one night. He credited support from his study program—especially blockchain courses—and an internal study group that regularly discusses Web3 competitions for helping him prepare. “I’m grateful for this achievement. I hope more UKDW students will take part in competitions and bring home more awards,” he said. He also noted the significant potential of Web3 if the technology is adopted early.
OneTrianggle is now available on its official website and features a lightweight, intuitive interface suitable for a wide range of users, including those new to cryptocurrency and Web3.
This achievement is a proud milestone for UKDW and highlights the ability of young Indonesian talent to compete on the global stage. Its zero-loss model, combined with gamified features, is seen as a breakthrough that may help shape future digital finance models. As global trends shift toward gamified, transparent, and inclusive financial platforms, innovations like OneTrianggle show that Indonesia is not only a consumer of technology but also an active creator and driver of the Web3 ecosystem.
