EvH Bochum offers an English-language semester program in Germany that explores social complexities through the lenses of diversity, disability, and sustainability. This 30 ECTS credit program creates an interdisciplinary learning environment enriched by insights from local practitioners, researchers, and international experts. By combining academic, practice-based, and artistic approaches, students have the opportunity to engage with both German and international peers, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives.


Who Can Apply?

  • Students of Social Work, Welfare, Diaconia, and related fields of study.
  • Students from EvH Bochum’s partner universities who have completed their first year of undergraduate studies.

Nomination and Application Process for UKDW Students

UKDW students interested in the International Study Programme must follow these steps for nomination and application:

  1. Submit Your Application: Applications must be submitted to the UKDW International Office by October 21, 2024 at bit.ly/appOutboundUKDW.
  2. Required Documents: Please include the following documents with your application:
    • Registration Form (with your signature)
    • Scholarship Form (if applying for a scholarship)
    • Proof of Language Skills: B1 or B2 level (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent certification)
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    • Motivation Letter: Explain your interest in the programme (include your motivation, experience, social engagement).
    • Study Plan & Nomination Form: Must be signed by the Head of Department.
    • Photo or Scan of Your Passport
    • Photo or Scan of Your Student ID Card
    • Academic Transcript
    • KTP (Indonesian ID Card)
    • Letter of Recommendation (e.g. academic advisor, religious leader, social organization).
      • This recommendation will play a crucial role in the selection process, providing additional insight into your qualifications and character. Having a strong recommendation may enhance your chances of being selected.
  3. Selection Process: After the initial application submission, there will be an internal selection process at UKDW. Following this, UEM will invite shortlisted candidates for an interview.
  4. Final Results: The final decision will be communicated by UEM.
