In observance of the 79th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta held a solemn ceremony on Saturday, August 17, 2024. The event took place in front of the Didaktos Building and was led by UKDW Rector Dr.-Ing. Wiyatiningsih, S.T., M.T. The ceremony honored the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes and embraced the theme “New Nusantara, Advancing Indonesia.”
Dr.-Ing. Wiyatiningsih, S.T., M.T., as the ceremony’s inspector, delivered a speech from the Governor of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X. The address reflected on three pivotal moments in Indonesia’s history: the introduction of the New Capital City, the transition of national leadership, and the vision for Indonesia Golden 2045.
