Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta recently held its Muslim Employee Spiritual Development Event (PSKM). The event, which took place on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Koinonia Auditorium, saw a gathering of approximately 155 Muslim employees from UKDW, including both permanent staff and outsourced personnel.
Themed “Worship: Working Diligently,” the event underscored a significant effort to support, acknowledge, and show respect for Muslim employees at UKDW, particularly during religious holidays. It served as a platform for spiritual enrichment among the Muslim workforce. The overarching aim of the PSKM program is to strengthen the vision of serving with love in a diverse world, fostering tolerance and camaraderie among Muslim employees and the management of YPTK DUTA WACANA.
PSKM aligns with the core values of Duta Wacana, emphasizing obedience to God and service to the world. The event featured various religious activities, including recitations of verses from the Holy Qur’an and spiritual guidance sessions led by Ustadz KH. Benny Susanto, S.Ag., M.Si., Supervisor of Sunan Kalijaga Boarding School in Gesikan, Yogyakarta.
Additionally, Eid al-Fitr packages were distributed to all Muslim employees at UKDW as part of the program. The Campus Ministry (LPKKSK) of UKDW and YPTK DUTA WACANA collaborated in organizing this significant event, demonstrating UKDW’s commitment to promoting spiritual growth and inclusivity among its diverse employee base.
