Program Introduction
GlobEEs, short for the Global Education Experiences Program, is a collaborative initiative involving Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW), Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) in Taiwan, and Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW). The program’s primary objective is to offer enriching international education experiences to students hailing from diverse universities and countries. Since its inception, the GlobEEs Program has been dedicated to cultivating global awareness and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
Recognizing the vital role of university students as future global leaders in our interconnected world, the program emphasizes the significance of students from various backgrounds coming together to develop mutual understanding. This collaborative approach enhances their ability to work harmoniously as global citizens, addressing the intricate challenges of our contemporary world.
The 2024 GlobEEs is set to take place in Indonesia, with UKDW and UKSW serving as the host institutions. The program will concentrate on equipping participating students with intercultural competencies through interactive engagements with peers from diverse academic, cultural, and national backgrounds. Furthermore, GlobEEs 2024 will align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by focusing on four specific goals: Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Reduce Inequalities (SDG 10), and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).
Throughout the two-week program, participants from the three collaborating institutions will partake in lectures and workshops facilitated by professors from UKDW and UKSW. Field visits to partner institutions will complement the academic components, providing participants with real-world insights. Students will collaborate in groups, culminating in the creation of a final presentation in the form of a video, to be showcased at the conclusion of the program. This multifaceted approach ensures a comprehensive and immersive educational experience for all participants.
Program Period: July 8 – 19, 2024
Place: Yogyakarta, Salatiga, Solo, Malang, Surabaya
Participants: students from CJCU, UKDW, and UKSW.

Requirements
- Current undergraduate students at Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW).
- Having the ability to communicate in English.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
- Possess open-mindedness, high motivation, punctuality, and adaptability.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to participate actively in the entire program (including orientation and preparation), support the organizing committee, and show awareness and consideration towards fellow participants’ needs and perspectives.
