UKDW Awarded as “Best and Most Active Tax Center”

The Head of Regional Office of Directorate General of Tax of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (Kanwil Ditjen Pajak DIY), Dionysius Lucas Hendrawan, SE., M.Si awarded the Tax Center of Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) as “the Best and the Most Active Tax Center” in DIY.
The award was received by the Head of UKDW Tax Center, Frista, SH., SE., M.S.Ak accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Finance and Asset Development, Dra. Ambar Kusuma Astuti, M.Si. on Friday, 22 November 2019 at Rev. Harun Hadiwijono Seminar Room.
The award was given to UKDW Tax Center for actively conducting tax seminars and promotion tax awareness. This achievement was also due to the support from the students though Kelompok Studi Pajak ( Tax Study Group).
The awarding was part of Pajak Bertutur 2019 – a program conducted by the Regional Office of Directorate General of Tax in each area in Indonesia aimed to p[romote tax awareness and build a good relationship with education institutions.
UKDW hosted a gathering with the theme of tax awareness inclusion which was attended by lecturers and students from universities, vocation schools, and tax centers all around Yogyakarta.
On this occasion, Dr. Septiana Dwiputri Maharani, the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Partnership, and Alumni of the Faculty of Philosophy of UGM talked about the implementation of tax awareness inclusion through a mandatory subject and shared her experience in this area. “Higher educations, schools, teachers, as well as lecturers are on the front line in implementing tax awareness inclusion. Hopefully, it will give birth to Indonesia’s golden generation with awareness and literacy on taxation,” she said.
